Delay Factors of Construction Projects in Oman

The construction industry is the second largest economic sector of Sultanate Oman. plays important role in infrastructural development both for public and private sectors. delays projects impact directly country. present study aimed to analyze a project by conducting survey based on questionnaire. questionnaire answered 74 respondents quantitative data further subjected statistical analysis. results are tested through Pearson chi-square test independence Cramer’s V tests. show that several factors contribute Oman including cultural differences, design changes, poor management, changes scope at time execution. managerial issues involved payment contractors authoritarian delays. clients faced planning execution contractor sub-contracting critical phases.
